Rick is pleased to announce his affiliation with McLane Middleton, one of New England’s most prestigious full service law firms with over 95 attorneys in four offices in Massachusetts and New Hampshire. Driven by the firm’s depth of sophisticated legal expertise and an unwavering commitment to client service, McLane has built collaborative and lasting relationships with a broad spectrum of domestic and international clients. www.mclane.com
In addition to the clients and accounting firms that Rick serves in his practice, he now serves all the tax and business clients of McLane who need specialized expertise in complex State, Federal and International Tax issues. His representation includes tax planning and controversy/litigation services, audits, appeals, tax analysis and research, advising management on complex tax issues, analyzing proposed legislation and regulations, preparing memoranda with technical advice, and proposing creative solutions.
The addition of McLane to his practice enables Rick to draw upon their expertise and strength in other practice areas. For example, Rick was asked to represent a client who had just been audited by the Massachusetts Department of Revenue. After the proposed tax liability was assessed, Massachusetts brought criminal charges against the client. Rick was able to quickly refer the criminal case to one of McLane’s partners, a former Trial Attorney in the Tax Division of the United States Department of Justice. Because a criminal conviction could affect the client’s immigration status, he also needed immigration advice, which was provided by another McLane partner, an immigration attorney who frequently writes and speaks on immigration issues. The addition of McLane’s services provides Rick’s clients with world class service at very reasonable costs.
